Smooth, sophisticated and in its most gourmet version, this is Haveli Madrid, the Indian restaurant that has become fashionable in the Spanish capital, Madrid.

The overwhelming energy with which the year has begun already cries out for a vacation, and although we still have a little more to go before our next free days, Haveli makes us a proposal to travel to India without leaving Madrid.

With a show of flavors and a staging dedicated to Indian culture, the restaurant located in the heart of the Retiro, invites us to enjoy exotic cuisine and daring signature cocktails that will make us travel in seconds.

The restaurant receives the name Haveli that honors a typical building, restaurant of genuine Indian cuisine, aromatic, tasty and spicy when it should be, the spices, so emblematic in this gastronomy, have a main role that becomes even more palpable in their curries.

The exquisite cuisine is the responsibility of Chef Singh Sukhwinder, who presents Indian cuisine with multiple options to taste a little of everything that the Asian country’s gastronomy has to offer. Haveli works a lot with curry, chicken, lamb, various fish and vegetables.

The experience at this Indian restaurant is definitely worthwhile, although the dishes are seasoned in the full style of his country, Sukhwinder is in charge of finding the perfect balance so that they settle well in the most sensitive palates.

The chef is in charge of selecting, toasting and grinding different spices in grain, to elaborate his proposals (most of them are imported products), since depending on the spices that are used as a base you have a different stew that will take us to one region or another of the country.

COCKTAILS OF THE WORLD

To accompany its 42 recipes, Haveli has selected an exclusive wine list to complete this trip, as well as a series of signature cocktails that are a must on this visit to India.

In this display of sensations, Haveli’s bartender Alfredo García-Moreno has been concerned to be at the height of the proposal in the kitchen, overcoming all the hurdles of demand. Thus we find unique cocktails such as the Smoky ginger, the Firecracker, the Indiana or the Tikal, drinks combined with unique products such as various citrus fruits, spicy blackberries, among others.

Undoubtedly Haveli has already become the best introduction to India in Madrid.
