Yum House opens its doors in the capital bringing an exotic variety of Japanese flavors
One of the defining characteristics of Madrid is its multicultural spirit and the ease with which it welcomes every nation and makes it its own. Thus, a few steps from the Plaza de España, a new Japanese restaurant has opened to surprise our palates and show the best of Asian cuisine. It is Yum House Madrid, the third restaurant of La Pagoda group, located on the first floor of the Letoh Letoh hotel, hides a subliminal menu with the best Japanese flavor.
This year, Asia has become fashionable, because after its recent reopening to the world, there are already those who are planning a getaway to the exotic continent. In Madrid, the journey can’t wait and that’s why the restaurant has set itself the goal of presenting the best of the continent through the palate. Once at Yum House, if it is our first experience in Asia, the people in charge of the place will always be the best guides.

With the right proportions, we start the tour with the classic Vietnamese rolls or Dim-sum, prepared in the unique style of its chef. Of course, in a culinary visit to the continent, the variety of Sushi is a must order. All their pieces are marinated to the precise point of spiciness, just enough to fully immerse us in the culture. Once we are in the restaurant, a great choice of starters are the magnificent nigiris. But if it is about authenticity, the menu offers dishes such as: Chinese eggplants, duck crepes, Japanese noodles “Yaki-udo”, “sirloin Teppanyaki”, among others.
In this new experience, cocktails occupy a place of importance and it shows in the eccentricity of its bar. Therefore, before taking the tasting to another level, it is essential to try their attractive cocktails: Nikkei Sour, the Sake and the Mery or the Viva Yum. However, the recommendation is to try the “Japan to Cuba”, since it is a cocktail that tastes like Japan at first touch, but as it enters the mouth it changes to a more tropical flavor, just like Cuba.
Despite being new in the market, Yum House is already beginning to position itself as one of Madrid’s favorite destinations, because adventure and new cultural experiences rhyme with the personality of the people of Madrid.
